Certified translation
A certified translation, sometimes also called an official, public or sworn translation, is a translation that has been signed and stamped by a certified translator authorized by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation (MAEC).
Such translations are treated as official documents by Spanish authorities as the certified translator is attesting the authenticity of the translated document just as a notary public certifies other legal documents.
Nonetheless, it is important to stress than a certified translation translation is not the same as a legalized translation: a translation has to be certified as the first step for its legalization or authentication by the MAEC or at the embassy or consulate of the country in question.
All our certified translations are produced by members of our team of verified official translators with many years’ experience and are delivered in accordance with the format required by current regulations after passing the quality assurance checks Albor puts in place.
